FCM Travel Solutions Appoints New Sales Leader for Australia

Media Releases 27 Jun 2018

Sydney-based corporate travel specialist Sue McEvoy has been appointed as FCM Travel Solutions’ Head of Sales for Australia.

The position oversees new client acquisition and sales activities for all teams across Australia for the mid to large corporate travel market.

Sue takes on the role after four years in FCM’s global sales team, where she held the role of Director of Sales APAC. In this role Sue was focused on new client acquisition in the multinational travel sector.

Her appointment further strengthens FCM’s national leadership team with Sue joining former FCM sales leader Melissa Elf in the General Manager’s role and Renos Rologas as FCM’s Head of Account Management.

Having worked in the industry for the past 20 years including nine years in multinational and large market sales and a further six years in client account management, Sue has been enthusiastically welcomed into the role.

Melissa Elf, FCM General Manager Australia said, “Sue was the logical choice for this role having had extensive experience. Over the years she has also demonstrated the value of forming long term and positive partnerships with our clients,” Melissa said. “Sue steps into the role having held the title of FCM Australia’s top salesperson and then consistently has been in the company’s global top five for new client acquisition.

“Additionally, she has a strong moral compass when it comes to team leadership, mentoring younger team members and she also actively supports ‘women in business’ initiatives offered through Flight Centre Travel Group.”

Sue said she was ‘excited about the opportunities ahead in for FCM Australia’.

We have very talented people in our account management and sales teams and I look forward to working together to achieve success for both FCM and our corporate clients in this market,” she said. “I will also be working closely with the team to ensure we have longevity in our sales team, which is important for clients from a business continuity perspective.”

Sue was part of the FCM Travel Solutions team that last year was awarded the Orica Limited global travel management contract spanning across 50 countries.

In December, FCM was named the world’s Leading Travel Management Company 2017 for the seventh year in a row at the World Travel Awards.
