Global business travel management company FCm Travel Solutions has added to its impressive line-up of World Travel Awards in 2013 after being named Africa’s Leading Business Travel Agency.

The award was announced at the World Travel Awards’ Gala Ceremony at the Safari Park Hotel and Casino in Nairobi, Kenya.

FCm currently holds the mantle of ‘World’s Leading Travel Management Company’ (World Travel Awards 2012) and earlier this year was also confirmed by the World Travel Awards program as the Leading Travel Management Company for Europe, Middle East, North America, South America, Central America, Australasia and Asia.

The company’s newest award follows a year of major growth for FCm’s network in Middle East and Africa.

Driving the network growth is General Manager of FCm’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) network, Ciaran Kelly, who has introduced seven new local partners to FCm’s MEA operation in the past 18 months. FCm now has a presence in 20 countries across MEA and 84 countries globally.

“This is brilliant news for our African network and is truly reflective of our progressive approach to growing the business and brand expansion in the region,” Ciaran said following the announcement.

“A combination of strategic network growth and new client acquisition has helped to raise FCm’s profile across the African continent. This year we’ve reported elevated levels of enquiry for FCm’s services in the mid-to-large market in this part of our network with FCm tendering for a growing volume of regional and multinational business. We’ve also had strong client retention rates and numerous new business wins for our operation in South Africa, where our regional head office is located.

“We’re delighted to be finishing the year off with a World Travel Award.”
